This Privacy Policy describes how HUDDL, operated by Redgate Media Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the HUDDL mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Throughout this policy, references to "HUDDL" or "the app" refer to the mobile application and related services provided by Redgate Media Ltd.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account and identity: Name (display name), email address, and when you sign in with LinkedIn, we may receive and store your LinkedIn profile identifier and profile URL.
• Contact details: Phone number (if you provide it or it is shared via LinkedIn), and email address used for account and notifications.
• Professional and profile information: Job title, company, location (text), bio, industry, desired connection roles, profile photo (avatar), and LinkedIn profile URL—some of this may be imported from LinkedIn when you connect your account.
• Precise location data: GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) of your current position. We collect this when you allow location access, including in the background on mobile devices so we can show your position to your connections on the map even when the app is not in the foreground. You can control when you are visible to others using the in-app visibility schedule.
• Home address and "privacy zone": If you choose to set a home address, we store the address and corresponding coordinates. We use this only to apply privacy protections (for example, limiting how closely others can zoom in on the map when you are near home). We do not show your home coordinates to other users.
• Visibility preferences: Your visibility schedule (start/end hours and weekend-offline setting) so we can show or hide your profile and location according to your choices.
• Device contacts (optional): If you grant permission, we may receive your device contact list (names and email addresses) to help you find contacts who are already on HUDDL and to send invitations. This is optional and used only for the features you enable.
• Communications: Messages you send and receive through the Service, and metadata related to conversations.
• Technical and usage data: Information about your device and how you use the app (e.g., for security, stability, and improving the Service).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; create and manage your account and profile; show your profile and location (when visible) to other users so you can discover and connect with people nearby; facilitate connection requests, messages, and meetings; send you notifications about activity on your account (e.g., connection requests, messages); apply your visibility schedule and home privacy zone; sync with LinkedIn and device contacts when you choose to do so; protect against abuse and enforce our terms; and comply with applicable law. We process your data on the basis of your consent (where required), performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.

4. Location Data (Including Background Location)

With your permission, we collect precise location data (GPS coordinates). On mobile devices, we may collect location in the background (when the app is closed or in the background) so your position can be shown to your connections on the map. You can revoke location access at any time in your device settings; doing so will limit or disable location-based features. You control when you appear to others using the in-app visibility schedule (hours and weekend-offline option). We do not use your home address or home coordinates to display your location to others; they are used only for privacy protections (e.g., map zoom restriction near your home).

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information as follows:

• With other users: As part of the Service, we share your profile information (such as name, photo, title, company, bio, and LinkedIn profile URL) with other users. When you are within your visibility schedule, we also share your current location (coordinates) so you can appear on the map for your connections. Your home address and home coordinates are not shared with other users.
• Service providers: We use third-party service providers (e.g., hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics) who process data on our behalf under contract. They are required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.
• Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of us, our users, or others.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy. After you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access and portability: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and in some regions, receive it in a portable format.
• Correction: Update or correct your information at any time through the app (e.g., Profile and Settings).
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. You may do this via the in-app "Request Account Deletion" option or by contacting us directly.
• Object or restrict: In certain jurisdictions you may object to or ask for restriction of certain processing.
• Withdraw consent: Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (e.g., by revoking location or contact access in device settings, or adjusting visibility).
• Complaint: If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

9. California and Other U.S. Privacy Rights

10. Minimum Age (18+)

The Service is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms) are in place where required by law for such transfers.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy in the app and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice (e.g., in the app or by email) where required by law. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
